Martina Moravcova, has been named the recipient of the 1998-99 Honda Award for women's swimming and diving. This award also nominates her for the Honda-Broderick Cup which will be presented to the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year in Reno, Nevada on June 14.

Moravcova has won 14 NCAA titles in her career at SMU. Her 10 NCAA individual titles are the most by any individual in the modern era of women's swimming and diving.

At the recent World Short Course Championships in Hong Kong, Moravcova won three gold medals in the 200 free, 100 IM and 200 IM.
