In Germany the trial of five former East German swimming officials 2 doctors and 3 trainers from the former TSC Berlin Swimming Club has gotten under way theis week.

They stand accused of causing bodily harm to swimmers in the former East Germany by administering steroids without the athletes knowledge.

The trial is the second of its kind to focus on the administration of illegal drugs in swimming in the former communist state.
