One child dies every 30 seconds because of malaria. World Swim Against Malaria, is encouraging people to come together today and swim, any distance, on 5th April 2008. 100% of each $5 donation will be used to buy a much needed bednet (mosquito net) impregnated with insecticide; the protection these bednets offer is the most effective way of stopping people contracting malaria.

As of today, $1.6 million dollars has been raised; amounting to over 320,000 bednets. For more information visit www.worldswimagainstmalaria.com

Aussie swim stars Grant Hackett and Bronte Barratt, will join Americans Natalie Coughlin, Katie Hoff, Michael Phelps, and Amanda Beard to support World Swim Against Malaria.
