Ohio State junior swimmer Brian Malich (Mason, Ohio) was named Big Ten swimmer of the week for Feb. 8 for his performance at the Michigan and Michigan State triple-dual meet Feb. 4-5. Malich has paced the Buckeyes throughout the season in the 50-yard and 100 freestyle events. He leads the Big Ten in the 100 freestyle with a time of 44.31. Malich was the lead leg in the 400 freestyle relay which posted an OSU season best time of 3:01.97 at the triple-dual meet in Ann Arbor, Mich. Malich remains undefeated in both freestyle events.
