FINA today issued the list of bidders for the 2012 World short-course Championships, to be held in the year of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

They are: Argentina (Mar Del Plata), Austria (Vienna), Hong Kong (Hong Kong) and Turkey (Istanbul). Sydney and Rio de Janeiro dropped out after expressing earlier interest.

The decision will be announced by the FINA Bureau on April 12, 2008, during the 2008 short-course event in Manchester. The 2010 event will be held in Dubai from April 7-11.
